These shoes were super comfortable right out of the box.  The sizing was a little wider than usual but it can be rectified a bit by tightening the laces.  They also have great cushy insoles and I can walk all day in these.  They are great as an oxford with skirts and leggings, skinny jeans and on and on.

Only thing is be sure to check the return policies now with Amazon shoes.  I could not get an exchange for a different size.  I had to return the other ones and re-order.

These shoes were so comfortable and didn't need breaking in. I gave one star off because the leather on the top of one of the shoes was variegated brown where the other shoe was all the same color. Weird. I ended up returning them because I found a pair that was more my style, but I was regretful because the shoes were so comfortable and nicely made.

I have been looking for a comfortable pair of oxfords for quite awhile. I know Clarks are very reputable.
I do not buy shoes on line very often. I have several pairs of Clarks shoes. I went down half a size, because for me their shoes run a little big. I wear these quite alot. They are very comfortable.
