I bought these in black and white to wear to a 50s party. I wanted something like saddle shoes, but a little different. Holy cow! EVERYONE stopped me to ask where I got them! Honestly....people I did not know stopped me to tell me they were "drooling" over my shoes!(and when I said "amazon.com" everyone that knows me replied "of course, where else would YOU have gotten them!?" ha ha!) I wore them with little thin socks and a circle skirt and it was really cute. They are leather (man-made sole) and the heels aren't crazy high so I could dance in them all evening. They fit true to size, maybe slightly narrow in the toe area, but not really as small as a true "narrow" size. I like them so much that I am going to wear them here and there with non-fifties clothes! I receive many compliments when I step out on the scene in these shoes. To my surprise, a lot of tweens and teens love these shoes. I receive praise and accolades from the people age 8 to 80......
