great looking, but instep too high, December 5, 2012

I have a pair of ECCO sandals that I love and so decided to take a risk and purchase these sneakers on line. Good and bad decision as it turns out. I love, love, love the look: color and style and quality of workmanship are outstanding. However, for my particular feet, the cushy insert caused my foot to ride too high in the shoe, no matter how I loosed the laces. As the inserts are removable I took them out and tried cutting out the instep part, but it still didn't work for me. However, if I leave the inserts out entirely, the shoe fits fine, but now I have a great fitting shoe without the cushioning of the insert. That said, the shoe is so well made that they are still comfortable and I wear them every day. My advice: if you have problems with a high instep, these are not the shoes for you. If not, they are fabulous.

Great shoe...great color, October 20, 2012
Tried this shoe on in a store and it is super comfortable. I wear a 91/2 and the fit was perfect. The toe box is just right;not too wide as some shoes of this type tend to be. I walked around the store for quite a while and was very pleased with the arch support and cushioning of the Chase. It feels supportive and cushioned rather than just squishy underfoot. My foot is between a narrow and a med width and this shoe was spot-on for that as well. I'm going to be ordering the Lion and the Mink, and maybe the black, too!
